Event Marketing Assistant - Entry Level
Are you passionate about community service and eager to build a career in nonprofit marketing and public engagement — not traditional event planning? We’re seeking a dedicated, people-focused individual to join our cause-driven outreach team as an Event Marketing Assistant.
This is not a role in wedding, banquet, or private event coordination. Instead, it offers hands-on experience in grassroots fundraising, cause-based campaigns, and live public outreach, where your work directly contributes to making a difference in the community.
💼 Role Overview:
As an Event Marketing Assistant, you’ll support our direct fundraising team in the execution of in-person outreach activations across local neighborhoods, retail hubs, and community centers. You’ll engage the public, represent nonprofit partners, and help mobilize support for critical social causes.
🛠 Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and execution of community-facing marketing campaigns
Assist with event setup, coordination, and breakdown at live fundraising and outreach initiatives
Engage directly with the public to raise awareness and inspire action for our nonprofit clients
Work collaboratively with marketing staff to deliver high-quality, on-brand event experiences
Speak with community members to build trust, educate on social impact issues, and foster supporter relationships
Participate in professional development sessions and leadership training
Uphold compliance and represent the organization with professionalism and integrity
Contribute to team goals and adapt to evolving campaign needs
✅ Qualifications:
Strong verbal communication and a people-first, service-minded attitude
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Comfort working in public-facing, fast-paced outreach environments (not banquet halls!)
Detail-oriented with time management skills and a willingness to learn
Self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively
Experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or fundraising is a plus—but not required
Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Availability for local travel to event sites and occasional weekend work
💡 This Role Is Not For You If:
You’re seeking work in wedding planning, private parties, or corporate event logistics
You prefer behind-the-scenes event coordination with no direct public interaction
You’re uncomfortable with grassroots, cause-based public outreach
💡 This Role Is Ideal For:
Recent grads, students, or career changers exploring marketing, nonprofit, or public service pathways
Volunteers, fundraisers, or outreach workers with a passion for community engagement
Outgoing, organized professionals excited to build purpose-driven experience
Anyone who wants to be part of a mission bigger than themselves
🎁 What We Offer:
Paid, hands-on training in nonprofit outreach, communications, and event marketing
Clear opportunities for advancement into team leadership and campaign management
A collaborative, mission-first environment where your voice and impact matter
Regular team-building events, mentorship, and ongoing support
Resume-worthy experience working with recognized national and local causes
